Free E-Mail Cleaner
An application to clean
up all of the Unix reply marks ('>') in your forwarded e-mail.
This little freeware
program is really a neat one folks. I have used it and it works just
as the author says. It is also very simple to use. --Ron

From the author Steve
Chin:
This is for those of you
who distribute a lot of jokes. I got tired of cleaning up all of
the Unix reply marks ('>') and the lines that got chopped up by multiple
word-wrapping. So, I decided to write up a really quick application
that does all of this for you.
Notes:
* This program is freeware.
* This is a Windows95/98/NT
(Win32)
only application.
* Some cleanup will probably
still be required, but it should simplify things by quite a bit.
* The text cannot be larger
than 32,000 characters, but that shouldn't really be a problem...
* This application was written
using Borland C++'s ObjectWindows Library.
Well, enjoy! If you
have any suggestions, just let me know (e-mail address is in the readme
file). Feel free to distribute this if you know anyone that might
actually appreciate this program. --Steve Chin

eCleaner v2.01 for Win95, (for Win98 & Windows XP see the
note below)
Note: I have not tried this with Win98
so I can't say if it works or not but it probably will work fine.
On 10/23/2002 I downloaded and installed this
on my new Windows XP and it seems to work fine. The only thing
is you will have to create your own desktop shortcut Icon because eCleaner
v2.01 will not do it automatically for you. After you download and
run the eCleaner v2.01 executable file called clean201.exe then to create
a shortcut, use Explorer to open the eCleaner folder on your C drive.
It will be under Program Files folder. With the right mouse button
held down drag and drop the eCleaner Application to your desktop.
Select Create a shortcut. ~Ron Brandon |
